Short map description: Street fighting between buildings, a defenders dream, air power may be the key.

When I started this map, I thought I'd be done in 3 hours....right. In fact it's quite tricky getting the units to stop at the sides of the buildings, everything is actually 2 tiles south of where it appears, then getting the textures right...anyway, here it is. The original idea, street fighting between buildings, happens at the beginning of the game, with plenty of possibilities for ambushes and flanking maneuvers. Later, the bases get well defended (thanks to the buildings) and the enemy base must be taken by assault. All the metals and vents (aside from the starting allocation of metal) are located on top of the buildings. You'll have to airlift a construction bot up there or use a construction airplane. That means you've captured that building (for now). Use waypoint orders for your troops coming to the front. The buildings confuse the computer AI sometimes, especially the narrow back streets around the edge of the map. The buildings only stop certain artillery attacks, if the angle is right (or wrong). You can try making the buildings taller with Annihilator if you want to protect against Big Bertha. My favorite is playing with just the Level 1 Kbot and Vehicule factories, no radar, and the death of the commander ends the game, to simulate the "gang warfare" aspect. Since you can't get to the other metals this way, the limited resources really make every man count! Anyway, let me know what you think! If you enjoy this map, if you hate this map, I'd like to hear from you. It's interesting, what you have to say! (Bassman814@aol.com)

Installation instructions:
1) Make a subdirectory: \maps. For example, if Total Annihilation is in C:\cavedog\totala, then make a
subdirectory, c:\cavedog\totala\maps

2) Double-click on the compressed map, and when prompted for a destination directory, type in
"c:\cavedog\totala\maps", or whatever path you created in step one.

3) Have fun!

You may make copies, modify, and freely distribute this map, as long as you include this readme file with the map, naming Deanco as the author.
